Claude AI

Last week, I was staring at my sales page like it personally betrayed me.

Conversion rate: 1.8%. Which means 97.2% of visitors were basically giving me a polite "thanks, but no thanks" before yeeting themselves back to TikTok and onto Claude AI.

Look, 1.8% isn't terrible. It's like getting a C plus. Your parents won't disown you, but nobody's putting it on the fridge either.

Here's the thing: when you've been staring at your own copy for weeks, your brain starts lying to you. Everything looks fine. Great, even! Meanwhile, your actual humans are bouncing faster than a toddler on a trampoline.

So I did something wild.

I let Claude absolutely demolish my sales page.

Took a screenshot of the whole thing, tossed it into Claude like I was serving divorce papers, and hit it with this prompt:

""Critique this landing page copy and suggest improvements to increase the conversion rate from 1.8% to 5%. Visitors receive a 3 free videos and free custom video content strategy book when they book a call."

Pro tip: I ran this inside my dedicated Claude Project (which already knows my voice, audience, and offer like we're best friends). If you haven't made a Project yet, stop reading and go do that. Seriously. The context alone is worth its weight in Bitcoin.

What Claude came back with? Absolute carnage. 🔥

Like, I needed aloe vera for these burns:

3 Critical Changes to Boost Conversion from 1.8% to 5% using Claude AI

  • Lower the Barrier to Entry – "Book A Call" is too high-commitment as your first CTA. Add a micro-commitment option: "Get Free Video Strategy Audit" or "See Sample Videos" that captures emails before asking for a call. Save "Book A Call" as a secondary CTA for ready buyers.

  • Lead With Outcomes, Not Features – Change your headline from "We create and optimize strategic video content..." to something like "Get 30+ Qualified Leads Per Month With Done-For-You Video Content—Guaranteed." Visitors need to instantly understand the result they'll get.

  • Add Risk Reversal Everywhere – Prominently display your "30-day qualified-lead guarantee" in the hero section and make your ROI statistics specific and credible (replace "88-93% ROI" with "Clients average 312% ROI in 90 days"). Remove the Perplexity verification link—it undermines trust.

✅ Add Urgency/Scarcity

  • "Only 5 trial spots available this month"

  • "Join 200+ companies scaling with video"Then Claude casually dropped a better headline like it was no big deal:

"Get 3 short videos for Free— and get a free Custom Built Video Content Strategy Book"

I literally said "oh, come ON" out loud to my laptop.

It's specific. It's benefit-forward. It answers the question "what's in it for me?" in 2.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, my original headline was doing interpretive dance around the point.

📈 Want Claude to Roast Your Sales Copy Too?

Here's the exact step-by-step process to turn Claude into your Conversion Copywriting Hitman:

🧠 Step 1: Screenshot or Share Your Sales Page

Claude AI

Grab a full screenshot of your landing page, sales page, or "please God somebody buy this" funnel page. You can also just paste the URL if it's live.

Drop it into Claude like you're submitting evidence.

✍️ Step 2: Use This Prompt (Copy-Paste Ready)

You are a conversion rate optimization expert who specializes in analyzing sales page copy and providing actionable recommendations to improve conversion rates.

**Current conversion rate:** [insert your %, e.g., 2.8%]
**Target conversion rate:** [insert your goal, e.g., 6%]
**Special offer:** [free trial / free consult / 50% off / firstborn child, etc.]

<scratchpad>
Before providing your final analysis, think through each of these areas systematically:

1. Conversion killers: Is the messaging confusing? Are there weak headlines? Unclear benefits?
2. Missing psychological triggers: Where's the social proof, scarcity, urgency, authority, reciprocity?
3. Purchase hesitations: What might stop a buyer? (Price? Unclear value? Trust issues?)
4. Customer fears: What internal doubts aren't addressed? (Will this work for *me*?)
5. High-impact changes: If you could only change 3 things—what would move the needle most?

Prioritize recommendations based on the gap between current and desired conversion rates.
</scratchpad>

Then attach your screenshot or paste your copy.

💡 Step 3: Brace Yourself for the Truth

Claude's gonna tell you things like:

  • "This headline is doing nothing."

  • "Nobody cares about your 'revolutionary framework.'"

  • "Your CTA button says 'Learn More' which is marketing for 'I don't know what I'm selling.'"

And you're gonna feel personally attacked.

Good. That means it's working.

🔧 Step 4: Implement the Changes (The Ones That Hurt Most)

Here's the secret: the feedback that stings the most is usually the feedback that'll move your conversion rate the most.

If Claude says "bury your feature list and lead with the transformation," don't argue. Just do it.

Your ego will recover. Your bank account will thank you.

📊 Step 5: Test, Measure, Repeat

Make the changes. Let it run for a week or two (depending on your traffic). Check your numbers.

Then come back and do it again with your new copy.

Because here's the thing: conversion optimization isn't a destination. It's a lifestyle.

(A lifestyle that pays extremely well, but still.)

💬 Real Talk for Content Creators + Marketers

If you're making videos, writing threads, building courses, or slinging services—you already know that good content doesn't always equal good sales.

You can have the best guide, the tightest framework, the most fire video training... and still watch people nod, smile, and peace out without buying.

Why? Because your messaging is doing parkour around the point.

Most of us write sales copy with "creator brain"—focused on features, frameworks, and how clever we sound.

But buyers have "survival brain"—focused on "will this work for me?" and "is this worth my money/time/sanity?"

Claude reads your copy like a skeptical buyer with commitment issues.

And that's the perspective that converts.

🎯 Try the "Sales Copy Roast Session" Prompt Today

Whether you're building:

  • A lead magnet landing page (trying to get those sweet, sweet email subscribers)

  • A coaching program sales page (convincing people you're not a scam)

  • A video content service (yes, we do the thing good)

  • Or literally any page where money should change hands

This process works.

Claude won't just vaguely tell you to "make it better" and leave you hanging like a bad Tinder match.

It shows you exactly what's broken, why it's broken, and how to fix it.

And sometimes the most powerful marketing move isn't:

  • ❌ A new funnel

  • ❌ More ad spend

  • ❌ Another lead magnet

It's just saying what you mean, clearly, like you're talking to a human.

Wild concept, I know.

Now go let Claude drag your sales page. You'll thank me when your conversion rate stops embarrassing you at parties. 🚀
